This excellent scholarly work, authored by an Azerbaijani and a Hungarian researchers, is a detailed review of the early history of the Huns and early Magyars of the Caucasus. I expect that it could become an important new reference for future historians. Because of its detailed examination and analysis of the history of the region and period when Huns and Magyars lived in the Caucasus, even before the often mentioned Besenyö attacks, which supposedly was the cause of their settling there. This is the land, that the Hungarian Chronicle's legends wrote about as the Magyar tribe's land of origin. Much of the Hungarian Chronicles will be validated as more than mere legends simply by understanding the documented history of this region of the world. The article is an in depth review of the various facets of this often ignored early Hungarian history that is so vital to the understanding of what happened leading up to the Magyar tribal confederacies settlement in the Carpathian Basin. It also proves conclusively that there is much more to early Hungarian history than the minimalized, unproven theory invented by the Finno-Ugrian linguists to eradicate the rich traditions of Hungarians, that deals with their origins.
